Schuylkill Outdoor Markets

In January 2025, as new owners we, Remo and Deb, took on an adventure in purchasing Pottsville Outdoor Markets from the previous owners, Jonathan and Amanda. When Jonathan and Amanda announced they were selling the markets, we decided to look into it as we’ve been big supporters of local farmers, crafters, etc. We truly didn’t want to see the markets go away. With so many small businesses closing over the years, we wanted to continue to give an avenue for our local producers and creators to have an outlet for their products and their passion.

In 2022, Jonathan began holding markets in the PHD parking lot in Pottsville. From there it grew with markets being held in 2023 at Alvernia University in Pottsville and then also Union Station in Pottsville. Jonathan had partnered with Amanda and in 2024 markets were being held in both locations in Pottsville along with markets in Saint Clair and one in Ashland.

After the purchase in 2025 other municipalities inquired about holding markets including Pine Grove and Girardville. Towards the end of the 2025 season, we decided to change the names of the markets to Schuylkill Outdoor Markets. This is where we are today and look forward to providing the vendors and patrons with a great experience. Not only that, we also love teaming up with local musicians to provide music to everyone during their market experience.
